Yoga & Mindfulness Program
The Play Way's Yoga & Mindfulness Program has been specially designed by our occupational therapists to support children and adults in incorporating yoga and mindfulness practices into your daily living.
The program provides practical, supportive and positive strategies for developing strength, coordination, balance and flexibility, as well as stress reduction and emotional and nervous system regulation.

What the program covers
With the assistance of the online course and comprehensive facilitator guide, you will be supported to engage children in yoga practices for feeling, routines, strength and transitions. There are also ideas for yoga in nature so that you can further enhance the benefits of this practice.
There are resources to support your mindfulness practice at home, such as breathwork cards and creative visualisation scripts. When used in conjunction with the weighted eye mask and weighted lap blanket, they provide opportunities to explore different strategies for emotional regulation and stress reduction.
The Yoga & Mindfulness Journal provides space for children to reflect on their journey throughout the program, so they can deepen their understanding of the brain and body benefits that these practices can offer.
*This program was initially filmed with children in mind and contains playful references, but skills built through this program are beneficial for all ages.
