WHO THE PROGRAM IS FOR
Does this sound familiar?
"My child’s teacher’s tell me that they need to improve their handwriting but they aren’t motivated to do the tasks I set."
"My child is reluctant to write because they are worried about their spelling or struggle to develop ideas."
"My finds handwriting tricky, slow and a burden so they tend to avoid it all costs. I suspect their hand strength is low."
If these challenges sound familiar, you are not alone, - it's exactly why we've designed this program.
This program aims to motivate and encourage sustained engagement with handwriting tasks by reducing some cognitive and language demands.
ABOUT THE VIDEO TRAINING
What the program covers
The Handwriting in Practice Program focuses on reducing cognitive and language demands involved in handwriting tasks, so children can focus on developing letter formation skills, writing speed and writing endurance.
This is the second program in our developmental range for handwriting skills so if you’re not quite ready for functional writing of sentences, you might want to take a look at the precursor program, Handwriting Foundations.
The Play Way’s Handwriting Workbook provides a range of novel and functional handwriting exercises. Participants also receive a compendium, fully stocked with a range of writing tools, to provide further motivation.
Within the activities, there are options to cater for a range of cognitive and language levels. The program has been designed to be completed over a four-week period, with a range of weekly activities and reflection tasks.
