This toolbox pairs with the Build it with Bricks Foundation Program in the Hub and uses LEGO builds as the vehicle for developing executive function, communication and sequencing skills in children aged 4-12. The LEGO Classic set, base plate, minifigures, role cards, reference booklets and specially designed instructions all work together as a structured system where children take turns as the Engineer, Supplier and Builder, giving, receiving and processing instructions to create five builds together.

The skills they're practising, following directions, breaking tasks into steps, communicating clearly and staying regulated through frustration, are ones that carry well beyond the LEGO table. And the minifigures and extension materials mean the play keeps going long after the program wraps up.
