Does this sound familiar?
"My child is about to start school and I feel like I should be doing preparation activities with them but I donât know what"
"My child has started school and we're having certain things flagged with us as needing further development"
If these challenges sound familiar, you are not alone. Itâs exactly why weâve designed this program.
What the program covers
Although handwriting is a fundamental aspect of a childâs learning journey, being âready for schoolâ actually encompasses a much broader range of skills that need to be developed prior to even picking up a pencil.
Gross motor skills are required to support the development of core strength, which is essential for assisting children in remaining seated and upright during table top tasks. Children will require language skills to express themselves at school and develop strategies for emotional regulation that can be honed over time.
Finally, hand and shoulder strength will be targeted as a foundation for supporting the fine motor skills required to engage in activities such as cutting and handwriting. This program provides a fun, engaging and practical way of building a well-rounded set of ready for school skills.
If your child has already started school, this program can still provide many positive benefits for supporting them in this journey, particularly if they require further support in any of these areas of skill development.
