Does this sound familiar?
"My child is reluctant to write because they are worried about their spelling or struggle to develop ideas."
"My finds handwriting tricky, slow and a burden so they tend to avoid it all costs. I suspect their hand strength is low."
If these challenges sound familiar, you are not alone, - it's exactly why we've designed this program.
This program aims to motivate and encourage sustained engagement with handwriting tasks by reducing some cognitive and language demands.
What the program covers
This is the second program in our developmental range for handwriting skills so if youâre not quite ready for functional writing of sentences, you might want to take a look at the precursor program, Handwriting Foundations.
The Play Wayâs Handwriting Workbook provides a range of novel and functional handwriting exercises. Participants also receive a compendium, fully stocked with a range of writing tools, to provide further motivation.
Within the activities, there are options to cater for a range of cognitive and language levels. The program has been designed to be completed over a four-week period, with a range of weekly activities and reflection tasks.
