The Play Way Hub Membership Terms

Last updated: 24/09/2026

TPP Projects Pty Ltd, ACN 652 696 190, ABN 88 652 696 190, trading as The Play Way (we, us, our).

These terms apply when you create an account, hold a membership, or use The Play Way Hub at hub.theplayway.com.

By creating an account or paying for a membership you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Hub.

1. What the Hub is

The Hub is an online membership. It gives you access to courses, videos, activities, printable resources and programs about children's play and development, created by occupational therapists and other allied health professionals.

The Hub is educational. It is general information. It is not therapy, assessment, diagnosis or medical advice, and it does not replace your own health professionals.

Ask a Therapist is a separate paid plan. It includes full Hub membership. It has its own Consent and Service Agreement, which you accept before your first message.

2. Memberships and plans

We offer plans for parents, for clinicians and for early learning services. The current plans, what each one includes and what each one costs are on our website.

We can add, change or remove plans, inclusions and prices. If a change affects the plan you hold, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.

Where we offer a founding rate, an introductory rate or a promotion, we will tell you how long it lasts when you join.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or over to hold an account.

The Hub does not use passwords. You sign in by entering your email address and entering a six digit code we email you.

Keep access to your email account secure. Anyone with your email and password can sign in as you.

Your membership is for you and your household. Do not share your sign in with anyone outside your household.

To change the email address on your account, contact us. We will not change it without checking it is you.

If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away.

4. Profiles and children

You can create profiles for the children you are supporting.

If you enter a child's details you must be that child's parent or legal guardian, or have the permission of the person who is.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information about children.

5. Clinicians, educators and services

If you use the Hub with clients or with families:

  • You must get informed consent from each client's parent or guardian before you enter their details, and you must tell them what you and your service can see.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and you remain responsible for that record under your own professional obligations.

  • You must hold your own professional registration and your own professional indemnity insurance. Using the Hub does not cover you for either, and we do not check it.

  • Your plan sets how many clients or families you can connect. If you reach it, contact us and we will move you to a plan that fits.

  • If your service holds a team plan, the plan belongs to the service, not to an individual. When a staff member leaves, remove their access. The service is responsible for what its staff do in the Hub.

A clinician invited onto another clinician's client has read only access.

6. Paying for your membership

Memberships are paid in advance. You authorise us to charge your payment method on the same day each month or each year until you cancel.

Payments are processed through Shopify. Our subscriptions run on Seal Subscriptions. We do not store your card number.

If a payment fails, we try again twice over the following two weeks. You keep access while we try. If the third attempt fails, your membership is cancelled.

7. Discounts and promotions

Discounts cannot be combined or stacked. Only one discount applies to an order.

During a sitewide sale we can exclude products or brands from the discount. LEGO and Connetix are always excluded.

We can withdraw a promotion at any time. A promotion already applied to your membership continues for the period we told you when you took it up.

8. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from your account, or by emailing us. No phone call, no hassle.

Your access continues to the end of the billing period you have already paid for. It does not renew after that.

We do not refund part of a billing period.

Ask a Therapist has a three month commitment. You can cancel any time after that. Its own agreement covers it.

9. Refunds

The Hub is a digital product and you get access straight away.

We do not refund because you changed your mind. If you decide the Hub is not for you, cancel. You will not be charged again. You keep access for the period you have already paid for, and it is up to you whether you use it.

Nothing in this section takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. If our service has a major problem, you can still ask for a refund and we will handle it under that law.

Physical goods are different. Our returns and refunds terms for goods are on our website.

10. Using the content

Everything in the Hub belongs to us or to the people we licence it from.

You can:

  • watch, read and use the content for the children in your own household

  • download and print the resources that have a download button

  • if you hold a clinician or service plan, use the content with your own clients

You cannot:

  • share your sign in

  • copy, republish, sell or give away Hub content

  • upload Hub content anywhere else

  • use Hub content to build your own course or product

  • record or copy videos

Videos are streamed only. They cannot be downloaded.

When your membership ends you lose access to the Hub. Resources you downloaded while you were a member, you keep, on the terms above.

11. Ask Sunny

Ask Sunny is an AI helper inside the Hub. It helps you find things and points you at our content.

Sunny is not a person and is not a clinician. It does not assess, diagnose or treat your child. Do not rely on it the way you would rely on a health professional.

Ask a Therapist is different. Every Ask a Therapist answer is written by a person on our team.

12. What you must not do

Do not:

  • use the Hub for anything unlawful

  • upload anything abusive, offensive or unsafe

  • upload anything that breaches someone else's privacy or copyright

  • try to break, scrape or reverse engineer the Hub

  • use the Hub to give people therapy while presenting it as ours

13. Availability

We try to keep the Hub running. We do not promise it will always be available or free of faults.

We can add, change or remove content and features. If we remove something significant that you rely on, we will tell you.

We can take the Hub down for maintenance.

14. Health disclaimer

The Hub is educational and general in nature. It is not medical advice, therapy, assessment or diagnosis.

Every child is different. What works for one child may not work for another. You decide what to try and you are responsible for those decisions.

If you are worried about your child, talk to your doctor, maternal and child health nurse, or treating therapist.

If it is an emergency, call 000.

15. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.

The Hub gives general educational information. You are responsible for deciding whether to act on anything in it, and for the care of your child.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim connected with your membership is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Where we are liable for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, and the law permits, we limit our liability to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

16. Suspending or ending your membership

We can suspend or end your membership if you break these terms, if you do not pay, or if you use the Hub in a way that harms other members or our staff.

If we end your membership because you broke these terms, we do not refund the rest of the period.

If we end your membership for any other reason, we refund the unused part.

17. Changing these terms

We can change these terms. We will publish the new version and tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect.

If you keep using the Hub after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not want to, cancel before they take effect.

18. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. It forms part of these terms.

19. If we disagree

Tell us first. Email ask@theplayway.com and we will try to sort it out.

If we cannot sort it out between us, either of us can refer the matter to mediation before starting court proceedings.

20. Law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
