THE PLAY WAY
11 Aug 2026, 10:15 pm
Send a question, a voice note or a video from home. A therapist from our team writes back. No waitlist, no appointment.
$79 a month. Three month commitment, then cancel any time. Hub membership included.
Ask a therapist sits inside The Play Way Hub
It's a real human, reading what you sent and answering it.
You tell us what is going on with your child. A clinician on our team writes back within one business day with practical ideas and things to try.
We work with you, the parent.
We help you make sense of what you are seeing, and work out what to do to support your child from home.
How it works
You get the Hub, and the ask a therapist area inside it.
Type it out, record a voice note on your phone, or upload a video of what is happening.
A clinician replies within one business day. In writing, as a voice note, or as a short video.
Who answers
Kait works with a team of occupational therapists, speech pathologists and behaviour practitioners.
Your question goes to Kait first, and she passes it to whoever on the team is the right person to answer it.
So a talking question lands with a speech pathologist, and a mealtime question lands with someone who works with mealtimes every day.
What you get

What it is not
Ask a Therapist is not an assessment, a diagnosis or a report.
We do not write letters or evidence for the NDIS, for schools or for kinder, and we do not write a therapy plan for your individual child, because we have not met them.
For children who need hands-on therapy, that is the right thing, it is still there, and we would never tell a family otherwise. If what you send us needs an assessment or a person in the room, we will say so and point you to where to get it.
It is not for emergencies. If someone is in danger, call 000.
What it costs
Fair use applies. It is one family, and the questions are about your own child.

FAQs
Is it a real person, or AI?
A real person. Every answer is written by a clinician on our team.
The Hub has an AI helper called Sunny that helps you find things. Ask a Therapist is not that.
Do I need a diagnosis?
No. Many families who use this do not have one.
Do I need to be on the NDIS?
No. This virtual support is equally accessible to anyone.
Can I claim it on Medicare, the NDIS or private health?
Not on this one. NDIS, Medicare and private health rebates may be available on our one-to-one guidance packages.
Check with your fund or plan manager, or ask us.
How many questions can I ask?
Enough to get what you need. Fair use applies and the terms explain it.
How fast do you reply?
Within one business day, Monday to Friday.
Can I send a video of my child?
Yes, if you want to. It is always optional.
Is this therapy for my child?
No. It is coaching for you. Your child is not our client and we are not treating them.
What if my question needs more than a message?
We will tell you, and point you to the right kind of help.
Can I talk to someone on the phone?
Not on this one. If you want to talk live, our one-to-one guidance packages are the option for that.
Who sees what I send?
The Play Way staff and clinicians who run the service. We keep a record, the way any health service does.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for.
