WHO THE PROGRAM IS FOR
Does this sound familiar?
"As a parent, I have trouble knowing how to support my child to calm down during periods of heightened emotions."
"My child is easily overwhelmed, angered or stressed and we need ways to support this that work in a range of settings."
"My child needs tools to be able to regulate their own emotions independently to me, for example, when they are at school."
If these challenges sound familiar, you are not alone - it's exactly why we've designed this program.
This program can help children explore how different sensations make them feel, and uncover the sensory inputs that work best for them.
ABOUT THE VIDEO TRAINING
What the program covers
The Calm Down Kit comes with video training that's brief but incredibly powerful.
It provides parents and caregivers with essential background information for understanding the development of self-regulation skills in children, and the importance of the senses in providing input to calm the nervous system.
Our Senior OT and Founder Kait succinctly explains the impact of brain development and our environment on emotional regulation. She also talks through how different sensory inputs can help restore calm.
Beyond the video training, the Calm Down Kit is really about allowing children to explore and enjoy a range of sensory inputs so they can understand themselves better, and find what works for them.
