Laying the foundation for lifelong learning, health and wellbeing.

The Play Way Hub

Real support.
For Early Years Educators.
Right when you need it.

The Play Way Hub gives educators access to practical, bite-sized training and resources focused on the areas children need the most help—behaviour, sensory regulation, emotions, and communication.

Created by early childhood professionals, everything is self-paced, easy to access, and designed to work in your 'real-world' - whether you're planning, resetting, or managing a tricky moment on the fly.

We know what you're up against and we're here to help!

  • Staff are stretched thin and educator wellbeing is at at all time low
  • Experienced team members are leaving, and new ones are expected to catch up fast
  • You can't afford to provide large chunks of time for team to step off the floor, yet the need for training + support keeps growing
  • Behaviour challenges, regulation, transitions, individualised learning and supports are placing huge pressures on your teams skill and mindset capacity
  • Managing leave, ratios and experience levels to arrange for training and upskilling is a nightmare
  • Accessing training and supports that can be rolled out for your whole team in rural and remote areas costs an absolute fortune in travel, time and resources and then you're left on your own to troubleshoot through the future implementation

And through it all, the pressure to keep children calm, learning and engaged never ends.

We hear it everyday from educators and directors just like you.

So we've built something to help; not just with one part, but the whole picture.

Because the truth is, most PD doesn't meet you where you are.
The Play Way Hub does.

THE PLAY WAY HUB FOR EARLY YEARS EDUCATORS

What makes us so different?

01.

Self paced learning with team member access for individualised learning and reporting

When your team is already stretched thin, the last thing you need is more pressure to carve out large blocks of time for training. Our professional development is broken into bite-sized, self-paced modules that fit around real life — not the other way around. Whether it’s five minutes between transitions or an afternoon planning block, you can chip away at professional learning when it suits each individual best.

Managing ratios, leave, and experience gaps shouldn't mean missing out on quality training. Our on-demand videos, printables, and digital resources are designed to remove barriers — bringing high-quality support directly into your service, no travel budgets or tricky scheduling required. Whether you're rural, regional, or simply time-poor, everything you need is right at your fingertips — and ready to roll out when you are.

03.

Community of practice facilitated by trauma informed, neuroaffirming, experienced therapists

Today’s educators are navigating diverse developmental needs more than ever before. That’s why our approach is rooted in the latest neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and a deep respect for neurodiversity. We help your team see beyond behaviours to the unmet needs underneath, creating classrooms where every child — and every educator — can feel safe, supported, and seen. With weekly live calls from our therapists and our 24/7 online community platform for peer collaboration you're team will feel connected and supported to continue learning and growing in their roles.

04.

How do we get such great results?

The Play Way Hub is designed to support early years educators when they need it.

Have a challenge with a specific child- ask our team how to approach it and they'll teach it on a live call or support you in our online community platform.

Need a team member upskilled on language - plug them into the on-demand video training so they can engage with it flexibly.

Need to get a parent on the same page as your team to support a child in developing a skill - share the training video with them too.

Our Hub training and community works so successfully because it's actually built with your needs in mind, and keeps growing and evolving to meet your needs.

The Hub for Early Years Educator Teams

Our Hub is built with your team in mind. It's our mission to really make a difference in the early years space and supporting educators to access the training and support they need, when they need it, is how we're making our impact.

We're sure you can see as clearly as we can the huge amount of value included here, but we don't want you to miss the 'why' we've dedicated our team and resources to making The Play Way Hub the leader in early years education training and support.

  • Only 56% of children are on track with developmental norms when they are entering school

  • The early years education workforce faces under-trained, under-valued and under-funded challenges but are some of the most important people in childrens developmental lives

  • There are now 20% of children in early education nationwide with diverse developmental needs and no formal, specialised national training for the sector has been rolled out to support educators in meeting these needs

And we can absolutely move the needle with you on these issues you're facing.

Individualised needs assessment

Our team will work with you to truly understand the needs of your team and develop an individualised program of support to ensure you are hitting the ground running with us from the beginning.

Our Hub contains a lot of content which will be helpful to your team at varying times but to ensure you start with success and get runs on the board early, we want to set you up for success with recommended trainings, resources and programs to start your journey strong with us.

You will answer our onboarding questionnaire to provide initial context for where your team is at and what your goals are in working with us. We will then review this, and jump on a call with you to clarify that we're all aligned before putting together the program of support for you.

We will then present and handover the program of support to you and your team to start working through.

FAQ's

Do you do on-site visits?

We can arrange for on-site visits if this is something you are wanting to invest it. However, it is our experience that on-site visits can only be successful if supported by the regular and ongoing online training and support. When we've visited centres and kindergartens in the past, there have been challenges making progress due to the urgent nature of working with children and the care and attention they require from the team on the ground during normal session times.

We are more than happy to discuss this as part of your package. Book in a chat with our Education Manager, Bree to chat this through.

Tell me more about the team we will have access to

Our team of over 20 experienced therapists and educators span disciplines of occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, behaviour support and education. Such a diverse and highly experienced team that Hub members are able to tap into and learn from.

What do the weekly live calls with therapists look like?

Each week we will host a live call where members can come with problems and challenges they are currently facing and we can assist in guiding them to a host of solutions. Weekly calls will also teach specific content from an expert in that topic and will be recorded as a future training accessible to all Hub members on-demand.

We have a large number of educators across locations - what are our options?
We can tailor a package to best suit the needs of your team or enterprise. Please book a call with our team, or send us an email so that we can understand what you're after education@theplayway.com
What state funding can I use to access this?

SA: We have applied for the SA provider preschool menu approval which is scheduled for release in June 2025

NSW: We are currently on the approved list of NSW providers

QLD: We are Kindy uplift aligned

VIC: We have applied to be on the menu for School Readiness Funding for the next review happening at the end of 2025

Is your training and support aligned with best practice guidelines for inclusion?
Yes our approaches promote strengths-based, inclusive, and culturally responsive practices for children with disabilities, developmental delays, or neurodivergence in line with the ChildKind National Guidelines for Best Practice in Early Childhood Intervention. We also align with Inclusion in Practice – Reimagine Australia and their resources supporting the approach of adapting environments—not children

This is the future of simplicity, of access, of support and collaboration. It's here for you now. And we can't wait to see you inside.

I can see this will really work for us and I'm ready to jump in and get started.
